  • New web browser

I’m currently testing Firefox 2 RC3 (release candidate 3).  The extensions seem to work as they did before, but most of the skins don’t (yet?).  They also have a built in spell checker, which is interesting and hasn’t shown any problems yet, though it doesn’t check grammar, so don’t use Firefox as your Word replacement.
I’m also looking at Internet Explorer 7, and I’m glad that they put tabs in this version.  They also have a neat feature that lets you look at all the tabs you have open in a thumbnail view.  But you can’t move the address bar, it’s stuck to the top.  All the menus are forced to go under it, which I don’t really like.  I’ll keep looking at them over the weekend.  Until then, I have alot of tests to study for.

  • there are a number of firefox extensions that will give you thumbnails of your tabs :)

  • Internet Exploer 7 wow cool oi didnt know they made it.

  • YOu can have all the hugs you want!!!  And yeah, I am glad I’m holding off for a while.

  • Firefox 2.0 has the same feature for the thumbnails of the tabs. It also has crash recovery and reopening of recently closed tabs. If they just put a little polish on Firefox 2.0 (which they will… It’s a RC. It’s not done yet.), it’ll be 10x better than IE 7… Which is roughly how much better Firefox 1.5 was over IE 6. It’s good that Microsoft is ACTUALLY working on IE again, but they’ve got a LONG way to catch up.

  • I just downloaded foxfire and installed it because of a problem with IE7 when trying to use a different profile picture in xanga posts. I don’t see the spell check you talked about. I need that one, for sure.
