  • Comedians

    "God is a comedian performing in front of an audience too afraid to laugh."
    I know, you were hoping to hear the long awaited, never promised post on racial prejudice because of the title, but this isn't about Kramer shouting "nigger".  No, I'm going to talk about a lesser offense, defaming the bible.  This quote was a comment on the clipmarks clip about the bible and a warning sticker placed on one in the photograph at the top of the page.  The sticker warns that the bible is a work of fiction and should not be taken literally.
    When I was a freshman, we watched a movie about a man who lectures at churches around the country on evolution.  Aside from the bible, his main response to evolution was "Were you there?"  Obviously, none of us was present for either the big bang and the formative years of the universe or the garden of Eden.  Moreover, the only written work we have about creation in the Bible was written by Moses, a man who was not there and who had disobeyed God a couple of times.
